The video games market is saturated with crappy games. Some of these crappy games are expensive, AAA hits. Others are raw, low-budget, sometimes hilarious, sometimes meaningful games made in amateur designers’ offices and bedrooms.
This blog is dedicated to finding the most bizarre, most intellectual, most depressing, most hilarious of amateur game design. Every week I will scour the dark ‘latest added’ lists of itch.io, Adventure Game Studio, Kongregate, Newgrounds, RPGMaker.net and other sources in at attempt to bring to light the most eccentric of those games that will probably never be ready for a commercial release. And maybe while I do it we can learn something about what makes games fun, what makes them not fun, and what makes them worth playing sometimes regardless.
